Questions?

How long will this knife stay sharp?

It really depends on how often you use the knife, and what items you’re cutting. When tested in the rigors of a professional kitchen, the Misen knife outperformed brands that cost 30-50% more. However, no knife — including Misen’s — will stay sharp forever. When the blade starts to dull, we’ll have our expert sharpeners bring it back to its original glory for you, starting at $11/knife.

Does this knife require special care?

Misen high-end knives are extremely easy to care for. Avoid the dishwasher, wash and dry after use, and you’ll never have an issue with your knife.

What are your blades made from?

We craft our Chef’s Knife with premium Japanese AUS-10 high-carbon stainless steel for two main reasons. First, it’s a steel that offers an excellent balance between toughness, durability, and razor sharpness. Second, it has 2x the carbon content of some other “premium” brands, which helps the edge stay noticeably sharper for a longer time.

How can your knife be as good as other high-end knives if it costs so much less?

Most knives cost so much because of traditional retail markups and other fees. You’d be shocked to know how little many well-known “premium” knives actually cost to make. By partnering closely with our factories and selling directly to you online, we’re able to offer an incredible knife at wholesale pricing with absolutely zero markups. Better materials, lower price.

Does it make sense to buy one knife, and not a set?

The single most important tool in your kitchen is the chef’s knife — it’s the workhorse you reach for most often. Investing in one great knife now will change your cooking for life. We actually designed our chef’s knife to replace entire knife sets; with a 15º blade angle and hybrid Japanese/German design, this knife can do 99% of your kitchen cutting.

But if you’re interested in a set, we offer 3- and 5-piece sets including our other knives — including Paring, Serrated, Santoku, and Utility — in addition to the Chef’s Knife.

How does your warranty and trial work?

We’re 100% confident you’ll love your Misen knife. Confident enough to give you a 60-day in-home trial. If for any reason you’re not satisfied, just send it back for a full refund. All Misen knives come with a lifetime warranty against defects. We will replace any defective knives.

    steak knives

Rather than the Bowie knife size steak knife, these are practical, easy to fit even small hands, or big hands, and they cut great. Handle is sufficiently weighted too, not a flimsy tool.

Serrated Steak Knives: Should Steak Knives Be Serrated

Designed for the table but built like a real kitchen tool, the 4-Piece Serrated Steak Knives in White are sharp, sturdy, classic steak knives that slice cleanly through steak, chicken, and chops. Misen’s signature wave serrations are meant to glide through food for smooth cuts without tearing, so you get clean bites without the sawing and shredding that can happen with dull or aggressive serrations.

This set includes four full-tang knives, a detail that adds balance and stability in the hand. Each blade is forged from German steel (1.4116), and the 4.6 in (117 mm) blade length with a 9 in (229 mm) overall length keeps the profile nimble for plates, cutting boards, and everyday dinner service. The sleek white handles are part of Misen’s curated colorways, so you can match your table setting without changing how the knives perform.

If you are comparing knife styles across your kitchen, it helps to think in terms of tasks. A dedicated serrated steak knife set is built for cooked proteins where you want a clean slice and minimal tearing. For more options in this category, browse the serrated knives collection. If you are equipping more than the dining table, explore the broader knife sets lineup to coordinate prep and serving knives together.

Care is straightforward, but important for edge life and handle longevity. Misen recommends hand washing, drying immediately after use, and sharpening every 4 to 6 months. For additional guidance on handling and maintenance, their knife care page is a helpful reference for keeping your knives cutting smoothly over time.

These steak knives are produced in PRC and are backed by Misen’s lifetime warranty against defects. If you want a reliable set for weeknight dinners and hosting alike, the main decision is simply aesthetic, choosing the colorway that fits your table while keeping the same wave-serrated, full-tang construction and German steel blade.

Each knife has a 4.6 in (117 mm) blade length and a 9 in (229 mm) total length. This size is intended to feel comfortable for everyday table use while still giving enough cutting edge for common proteins.
